Becky focuses on accessibility for the Web especially Web 2.0 and Ajax. She is currently assisting with the development of the Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) specification and implementing accessibility in the user interface components of the Dojo Open Source Toolkit for JavaScript. Becky came to IBM through Lotus where she worked as a developer on several releases of Lotus 1-2-3 as well as Lotus Notes. She has programmed in C, C++, Java and Web technologies.

How many hats can one woman wear?
I'm an expert in fields from the Mac (since 1992), Web development (since 1995), programming (since 1977--yes, really), online communities (since 1994), and weblogging (since 1999). I've written and taught about all of these, and more. I've authored or co-authored:
• "Dreamweaver CS6 for Windows & Macintosh: Visual QuickStart Guide" (Peachpit Press, 2009)
• "JavaScript & Ajax for the Web: Visual QuickStart Guide, 7e" (Peachpit Press, 2009)
• "Ajax Essential Training" video course (Lynda.com, 2008)
