Casey McKinnon is an actress, producer and pioneer in the new media field who was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. She has created and appeared on three popular internet TV shows: Galacticast; A Comicbook Orange and Kitkast.


I am passionate about the potential of the web platform for formal and informal learning, and for group communication and development. I am constantly exploring new web-based tools and possibilities, especially in how the web can be used to support business, teaching, academic writing, and research. As a former technophobe, I am especially skilled at introducing new users to web tools and demonstrating how they can be useful.

Rachel Segal is responsible for the marketing and communication initiatives at b5media. She blogs about life, work, music and photography on her personal blog, Debanter and is a regular contributor to independent Toronto arts magazine, Celery. Prior to b5media, Rachel led the marketing team at the music/technology company, MusicIP.
Lee Godfrey began working on web-based projects in 1993, making her one of Canada’s internet pioneers.
With over twenty years of consulting experience, and nearly a decade as one of Canada’s best known eBusiness educators, Lee brings a solid understanding of how to best exploit the power of technology and the web.

Monica Hamburg is a writer and social media evangelist in Vancouver, Canada. Her investigations and observations on social media (especially Crowdsourcing), and its relation to business and connecting, form the basis of her blog, “Me Like the Interweb”. She is a frequent contributor to the popular digital marketing magazine “One Degree”, as well as a former actor and class clown who now uses her dry humour for speaking engagements and in her blog “Your Dose of Lunacy”.
