Jacinta Richardson
Jacinta Richardson has a Bachelor of Engineering (Software) (hons) and Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne. Jacinta is both the managing director and training coordinator of Perl Training Australia. In addition to the management parts of this job, Jacinta does technical writing. bespoke development and participates in the training courses. Having been involved in the business from the start, Jacinta has a lot to say about starting and running your own small IT business.
As a passionate community builder, Jacinta is involved in many Australian IT user groups including all the Australian Perl Mongers groups, many Linux User groups, SAGE-AU and others. She has been involved in running the Open Source Developers' Conference each year since it's inception in 2004. Jacinta organised the Community Open Day at LCA 2008 in Melbourne.
Jacinta has given talks at Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane Perl Mongers meetings; Linux User Victoria meetings, each Open Source Developers' Conference, linux.conf.au mini-conferences and various other events.
